Heal and Transform through
Nervous System Regulation & PRT
Restore safety. Repattern your symptoms. Reclaim your life.
You’ve likely tried everything... medical treatments, therapy, diets, supplements, yet the symptoms linger, flare, or shift into new forms. Chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or shutdown… it can start to feel like your body is betraying you.
But what if your symptoms were actually trying to protect you?
In our work together, we gently uncover how your nervous system has adapted to past stress, overwhelm, or trauma, and how those patterns may now be misfiring in ways that keep you stuck. Drawing from Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Polyvagal Theory, somatic practices, and Mindbody science, I help you build safety, track symptoms through a new lens, and reclaim trust in your body’s ability to heal.

What Our Work Together Includes
Understanding Your Nervous System
-
Learn how your autonomic nervous system operates and why it sometimes gets "stuck" in protective patterns (fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown).
-
Map your unique stress responses through the lens of Polyvagal Theory.
-
Identify how chronic stress, trauma, attachment wounds, or perfectionism may be filling up your “stress bucket” and how to empty it sustainably.
Rewiring Chronic Symptoms with Pain Reprocessing Therapy
-
Understand the science of neuroplastic symptoms; how pain and other symptoms can be generated by the brain in response to perceived threat.
-
Learn how to break the symptom-fear cycle and respond differently to your symptoms using somatic tracking and mindfulness.
-
Practice outcome independence, curiosity, and self-compassion as healing tools.
Building Safety, Capacity & Regulation
-
Cultivate a felt sense of safety in the body, even during moments of discomfort or dysregulation.
-
Explore how to distinguish between true danger and uncomfortable sensations so you can expand your window of tolerance.
-
Use nervous system regulation tools like orienting, pendulation, and co-regulation, not to force change, but to gently offer cues of safety to your system.
Bringing Compassion & Boundaries into Daily Life
-
Recognize the protective role of your symptoms and develop a compassionate relationship with yourself and your body.
-
Set healthy boundaries to protect your energy and create emotional safety.
-
Learn to interrupt rumination, perfectionism, and fear-based loops that drain your system and keep you in cycles of exhaustion.
What You’ll Gain from This Work
-
A grounded, empowering understanding of your Mindbody system and the root causes of your symptoms.
-
The ability to recognize and interrupt fear-based symptom cycles using tools backed by neuroscience and lived experience.
-
A toolbox of regulation strategies you can adapt in real-time, so you’re not overwhelmed by sensations but supported through them.
-
A more compassionate, anchored relationship with yourself, rooted in trust, permission, and deep internal listening.
-
A felt sense of safety and connection, not just intellectually, but in your nervous system.

This is not just about learning tools. It's about feeling seen in your full experience, without being rushed, judged, or pathologized. My clients often say they feel more deeply met here than anywhere else, including in traditional therapy or medical care.

Working with Teresa has been life changing for me.
She has a true gift for attuning to my nervous system no matter where it is, to bring safety, compassion and normalizing every part of my experience. Her knowledge and wisdom in addition to her own lived experience of chronic illness through the lens of polyvagal theory, neuroplasticity, pain reprocessing, trauma, attachment styles etc. has been more helpful than I can put into words. She just GETS it. In a way I have never experienced with any other person before (therapist or not).
I’ve been working with lots of therapists and coaches through the last 15 years, and with my hand on my heart, I can say that Teresa is the best. I go around saying this to my friends and family all the time, that my coach is the best!
If you have found Teresa, you have found gold. And if you get the opportunity to work with her, I would consider you to be incredibly lucky and blessed.
Some of the things that have been the most helpful for me in working with Teresa is bringing safety to my experience and my life. She has taught me about outcome independence and she always celebrates and encourages me to be my authentic self. I always feel safe with her, no matter how I show up and no matter what’s coming up in our sessions. She has held a safe space for me to grow my Self and for me to get to know who that is.
I also want to add that I’ve had a couple of sessions where my nervous system has been in dorsal, which for me is perceived as scary and unsafe, and how Teresa then has responded to that by bringing safety and coregulation. She has reclined her chair, dimmed the lights, closed her eyes and MET me in the dorsal state. Having a coach who doesn’t make that wrong, but in fact, meets you there and brings in safety and connection to where you are is such a gift and blessing.
Teresa truly is unique and a gift to this world. I love her and I am infinitely grateful for her.
She has helped and supported me tremendously on my healing journey and continues to do so, and I will forever be grateful and feeling so honored and blessed for working with her.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Teresa. She holds our sessions with deep presence and wisdom, which is the perfect container for my nervous system to relax and expand after years of feeling stuck. Her calm reassurance and firsthand experience of regulating the nervous system have helped to keep me positive and curious about my ability to recover from a long chronic illness. She is friendly and patient and can also bring lightheartedness and fun to the healing work we are doing. I would definitely recommend working with her.

After not very successful experiences in therapy, I was cautiously optimistic about working with a coach. I have a trauma history that's pretty jam packed (my ACEs score is 8) and in the past, working with therapists I felt either 1) I was entertaining them or 2) I felt like I was being judged for making bad 'choices'.
Immediately, in my first session with Teresa, I felt at ease. I felt I was being held by someone I could trust. I felt really listened to for the first time, which meant that I actually felt safe for the first time to bring thoughts, feelings and challenges that I didn't feel comfortable bringing to therapists in the past.
Teresa has a very calming presence, which I now realize is so important for me, having a history of complex trauma. I can become dysregulated, especially when talking about past trauma and with Teresa I'm able to talk about something without becoming activated to the point of shutting down.
Validation and attunement are so important to me in a coaching relationship and Teresa is so gifted in both - she's able to help me see that I'm not 'crazy' and that my feelings are valid, while also being able to tune in to how I'm feeling and flow with me in the session - we can laugh about things (she has a great sense of humor, also kind of mandatory for me), and she can stay right with me through anger or sadness.
I think one of the most important qualities in a coach is the ability to offer perspective and Teresa is definitely skilled in this area. I have carried a lot of shame about my difficulties with functioning as an adult - missed or wasted opportunities, a whole lot of 'self-sabotaging' behavior. I talked to Teresa about some of my regrets about this and she is the first (and only person) to talk to me about "capacity." As in, "you didn't have the capacity." Whew, talk about a shift in the ways that I looked at my life and I was able to let go of so much toxic shame that was really only serving to keep me stuck.
I think Teresa is an incredibly talented coach, she's empathetic, knowledgeable as hell when it comes to trauma, perceptive and intuitive in a way that makes you feel safe, seen and understood.

In the time that I have had the good fortune of being a client and working with Teresa Hobbs the words supportive, informative, compassionate, kind, safe, as well as enlightening and highly professional come to mind immediately.
Embarking on a journey to heal trauma can be extremely challenging at times, however, with Teresa’s knowledge and guidance along with her very gentle approach, she has offered me a soft place to fall as well as imparting constant pearls of wisdom I can embrace through each session, then work to apply as we move forward together.
Certainly if one requires healing from trauma who better than one who has walked in our shoes, and who has felt so many of the things we all do while going through this process. Her warmth and innate awareness's are truly a gift to any client, and I highly recommend Ms. Hobbs to anyone who is considering trauma therapy. Without a doubt she is totally dedicated to her work and helping those of us who require her expertise.
Thank you Teresa Hobbs for being the light, the muse, and the facilitator of revelations and depth to assist me in my healing journey. I am forever grateful.

Teresa provided exactly the type of support I needed during a very isolating time in my life. She gave me all the space I needed to unpack whatever was coming up each week while helping me connect patterns between my experiences. She is really amazing at holding the thread between all the different layers of experience and challenges we explored together.
She is so empathetic and provided a calming, nonjudgmental space for me to explore some difficult challenges and feel less alone in the process.
I absolutely loved working with her!!
